Spiritual Warfare + Emotional Distractions
Hey Sis,
You know that saying, don't bring a knife to a gun fight? Well, many of us are bringing our emotions to a spiritual battle and it's leaving us defenseless and depleted. The enemy often utilizes the tactic of emotional distraction as a way to overwhelm. Overwhelm leads to us reacting in our flesh instead of responding to the situation with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
When the Bible tells us to be sober and vigilant, this wasn't exclusive to alcohol and drugs. By definition to be sober means showing no excessive or extreme qualities of fancy, emotion, or prejudice. We must vigilant [open eyed; carefully noticing problems or signs of danger] so that we can launch a preemptive attack on the enemy instead of scrambling in response to an attack.

I want to give you 5 keys to help you overcome the emotional distractions and win this spiritual warfare battle.
Assess - Look at the situation objectively... facts only.
Discern - Test the Spirit
Pause, Ponder, + Pray
Intervene with Strategic Intercession
Escalate The Matter To God
This strategy will need to be repeated often because the enemy will continue to launch emotional attacks.
